Fraser Valley – A metal band with a unique perspective.
Lekwépsem is a Coast Salish metal band fronted by Bonnie Leggat, (and her husband and bandmate, Stephen McGlenn) a member of Leq’á:mel First Nation. Their band is spread across the unceded territories of the Leq’á:mel, Stó:lō and Coast Salish peoples, as well as the Treaty 7 lands of Niitsitapi in present day Lethbridge, Alberta.
The band’s roots are from Deroche.
Their mission is to spread the deadly history of S’ólh Temexw (our land) and celebrate our stories.
