Boston Bar – On Monday evening, October 20, Boston Bar RCMP responded to a report of a robbery on the Uztlius Forest Service Rd in Boston Bar.
A man who was foraging along the Forest Service Rd was threatened by several individuals, one of which was armed with a knife. The suspects were attempted to steal the man’s truck and utility trailer. The man managed to get away and met up with a relative who was further along the road.
While enroute to the police detachment, the two men spotted the suspects towing their utility trailer. When they attempted to confront them, they were met with threats, physical violence and had a firearm pointed at them before fleeing for their safety.
“The trailer has since been recovered, and charges are being recommended against several of the individuals involved”, says Staff Sergeant Mike Sargent, spokesperson for the Boston Bar RCMP. “We are asking anyone who was in the area at the time and who may have witnessed the incident or captured dashcam footage, and who has not yet spoken to police, to please come forward.”
The investigation remains ongoing.
Anyone with information regarding this incident is asked to contact the Boston Bar RCMP at 604-867-9333 or, should you wish to remain anonymous, call Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-8477 (TIPS).
