Abbotsford – DEVELOPING STORY – Early Tuesday Morning, a large police presence was in the area of Interprovincial Hwy & Number 3 Road for a Break and Enter in progress at a property in the area. Police officers were on scene in vehicles and on foot. A police dog had been deployed.
Two suspects are now in police custody. Public safety is not at risk. Abbotsford Police have re-opened the area
.UPDATE from AbbyPD – Abbotsford Police Patrol Officers responded to a Break & Enter in progress to a large property in the 40000 Block of # 4 Rd. Containment was quickly set up in the area by arriving officers. A suspect vehicle was observed attempting to flee the area, resulting in a Patrol officer successfully deploying a police spike belt to de-mobilize the vehicle.
Two men were observed fleeing the vehicle on foot and were later arrested by Patrol officers with the assistance of a Police K9 officer. An additional man was arrested in the area. All three men remain in police custody. This investigation is in its early stages and is being supported by our Forensic Identification Unit.
