Rattlesnake Concern at Seabird Island

Seabird Island – On July 3, a rattlesnake was allegedly spotted at Seabird Island. Recently a bull snake was spotted near Hope. Bull Snakes and Rattle Snakes are almost identical. Both can bite BUT only Rattlers have venom.

Conservation has been notified and you are asked to keep your distance if you see the snake(s).

Usually rattlers are found in the hills of the Okanagan . So are bull snakes.

And NO you can not kill either. They are protected wildlife.
