Chilliwack — A cosmic journey through the vastness of space is set to take place at the Chilliwack Cultural Centre as the Bergmann Duo perform Gustav Holst’s masterpiece, The Planets. On March 18, the Bergmann Duo return to The Centre with a performance of this beloved classic, performed on two pianos.
From the driving and powerful sounds of Mars, the Bringer of War to the ethereal beauty of Venus, the Bringer of Peace, the Bergmann Duo will transport you to the planets of our solar system through songs you will be familiar with from numerous movie scores. This performance celebrates the wonders of the universe and will captivate you with the Duo’s interpretation of this timeless program. The performance will also feature projections of a variety of spectacular celestial images taken largely from the NASA website of the various planets, interspersed with artist renditions.
