Vancouver/Fraser Valley – FEBRUARY 10 UPDATE – High-risk offender Steven Frederickson was re-arrested by Vancouver Police Saturday, after a Canada-wide warrant was issued for failing to return to his halfway house.
Officers located Frederickson earlier today in Gastown, after responding to reports of a suspicious person near Columbia and Powell Streets. He was immediately taken into custody and returned to jail.
ORIGINAL STORY – Vancouver Police are requesting the public’s help to locate a man who is wanted Canada-wide.
Steven Frederickson, 57, is currently on a long-term supervision order. He is considered violent and poses a risk to public safety.
Frederickson is 6’1″ with a slim build. He has a long grey beard and long grey hair. He was last seen wearing a dark baseball cap, a dark brown plaid jacket with black lines, a black hoody, dark grey pants, black shoes with an unknown white logo on the front, and black sunglasses. Frederickson is legally deaf and walks with a red cane.
Frederickson signed out of his halfway house on February 8 and has failed to return, as required by his court-ordered conditions.
Anyone who sees Steven Frederickson, or who has information on his whereabouts, is asked to call 9-1-1 immediately.
It’s not known if Frederickson is in the Fraser Valley.
