Sardis – On Wednesday night (February 7) the Sardis Falcons Grade 9 Boys Basketball team, won the 2023-24 Fraser Valley East title.
The game was at Sardis Secondary.
From Instagram: The Grade 9 Boys Team made Sardis athletics history by becoming the first Sardis team to win a basketball banner by winning the Fraser Valley East Championship over GW Graham 57 – 45.
These boys have worked extremely hard over the last 3 months and now go into Fraser Valley playoffs looking to make provincials for the first time for a Grade 9 Sardis team. The boys are now 26 – 4 on the season.
Landon Pomeranz led the team in scoring with 21 points while playing lockdown defence. Alex Brzezinski, Josh Roux and Ixara Forstbauer all hit double digits in scoring. It was a team victory on all fronts.
