Cultus Lake Senior Talks About How A Kidney Transplant and the Selfless Donation from a Donor (and Family), Saved Her Life

Cultus Lake/Vancouver – Heather Martin is a Cultus Lake resident who received a kidney transplant in 2023.

Heather Martin was in one of BC Transplant’s web stories last year: http://www.transplant.bc.ca/about/news-stories/organ-donation-transplant-stories/a-record-number-of-donors-give-the-gift-of-life-in-october

While having to deal with other medical issues through the years, Martin kept a positive attitude and always kept an open mind to learn more about what transplants are all about.

Her kidney came from a selfless decision of a donor and their family to give the gift of life.

…. and she has not lost a step in playing scrabble or going for walks and short hikes …..
