Abbotsford Flood Watch Advisory Update Monday January 29

Abbotsford – The BC River Forecast Centre has a issued a flood watch advisory for the Fraser Valley and the Sumas River. The City of Abbotsford is in communication with the Province’s Emergency Management and Climate Readiness team and will continue to monitor the forecasts and watch the river levels closely. We will keep residents informed if river levels change significantly or if any actions are needed.

The river forecasts for our area (both the Fraser and the Nooksack) don’t indicate the rivers will hit concerning water levels. More tips for residents on heavy rainfall can be found on the city website.
