Chilliwack Minor Lacrosse Partners with Sumas First Nation – Lacrosse Development Sessions for Self Identifying Indigenous Youth

Chilliwack – The CMLA – Chilliwack Minor Lacrosse Association is partnering with Sumas First Nation as they host a series of Lacrosse Development Sessions for self-identifying Indigenous youth.

This for ages 6 to 16 and held in February.

No experience is needed.

Contact Jenna.noppen@sumasfirstnation.com for more information or to register.

From Jenna Noppen to FVN: These Development Sessions are hosted by Sumas First Nation in partnership with the Chilliwack Mustangs and Abbotsford Valley Jr. Rebels team. The Chief Constable from Abbotsford PD will also be in attendance to lend his time to help us run this program. What is great about this is we have opened to all self-identified Indigenous youth, from all neighboring communities. The four sessions are free and equipment will be provided also so this is a low barrier program. Our main goal is growing the game for Indigenous players as the sport has deep rooted history in Indigenous culture.
