Fraser Valley – MAY 18 UPDATE – Fraser Valley Health Care Foundation (FVHCF) and Garrison Running Co. hosted the 24th annual Run for Mom 5k Run/Walk on Sunday, May 8, 2022 with a fantastic turn out of over a 130 participants.
“A little bit of rain didn’t stop the troops from coming out to support Run For Mom this year” said Liz Harris, Executive Director of FVHCF. “We had runners, walkers and bikers hit the ground at Vedder River Trail for a great start to Mother’s Day”
This years run raised over $8,200.00 in support of the Maternity Department at Chilliwack General Hospital. Special thank yous to Garrison Running Co, Minter Country Garden Centre, M&M Meats Chilliwack, Field House Brewing, Bozinnis, Unika, Envision Financial Sardis Branch and the Chilliwack Hospital Auxiliary for your kind donations. Thank you to Jessica Zawada from Innovative Fitness for warming up the participants. Our events wouldn’t be as successful as they are without everyones help, especially our volunteers. We look forward to having everyone come out next Mother’s Day!

Run for Mom is a family friendly 5k run or walk event for all abilities around Vedder Trail in Chilliwack
Funds raised from this family event will go towards purchasing much needed equipment for the Maternity Department at Chilliwack General Hospital. “Chilliwack is such an amazing community that has supported Run for Mom for over two decades” exclaimed Liz Harris, Executive Director FVHCF, “Our goal is to have around 100 participants this year to help raise $10,000.”
