Abbotsford – On March 21, 2022, at approximately 9:52 p.m., the Abbotsford Police Department received a report of a male shot in the lower level of a family home located in the 3500-block of Latimer Street, Abbotsford. Abbotsford Police Department frontline officers and BC Emergency Health Services (EHS) attended and located a man suffering from gunshot wounds. Despite all efforts to revive the victim, he succumbed to his injuries.
IHIT is in the early stages of the investigation and our investigators are working tirelessly to complete priority tasks. We are working closely with the Abbotsford Police Department and BC Coroners Service.
IHIT is releasing the name of the victim to further the investigation. The victim is identified as 41-year-old Chad Colivas.
IHIT investigators are asking for any witnesses, dashcam or CCTV footage from the area of 3500-block of Latimer Street, Abbotsford from Monday, March 21, 2022 between 9:30 p.m. and 11 p.m.
