Bill Raddatz, Executive Director at Ruth & Naomi’s Mission in Chilliwack, Resigns

Chilliwack – Bill Raddatz, Executive Director at Ruth & Naomi’s Mission in Chilliwack, has resigned from his position after ten years of service.

He started working at RAN Mission with a handful of staff and has led the organization through sustained growth in its vision of transforming the lives of the poor, the homeless, and the addicted through the love of God. The Mission now has close to 100 staff members across multiple locations.

Raddatz has been in the spotlight, good and bad, for a number of years, including the operation of the contentious “Portal Shelter”.

Also, Raddatz was instrumental in the development of the 36-unit Family Centre.

No official reason for his departure has been given.

The low cost housing project opened 2019.

Within the recovery community, there were whispers that he had butted heads with various board members over the direction of RAN.

The search for a new Executive Director is underway; in the interim, current Board member Neil Oslund will be stepping in as Acting Executive Director. Neil has been heavily involved in the Mission for a number of years, both as a volunteer and as a Board member, and has a wealth of experience to draw from that will help to maintain momentum and continuity while an appropriate replacement is found.
