Chilliwack – Some of you may know that the Chilliwack & District Seniors’ Resources Society continues to provide a food hamper program for low income older adults in our community.
The Society has been very fortunate to have great support from SKT Farms, Eden Mennonite Church and community individuals.
They currently have over 80 people receiving nutritious hampers to ensure food security.
Christmas is coming and for many on the program it is not a time of joy or celebration, and a traditional Christmas Dinner is not in the cards.
The Society would like to change this by adding a roasting chicken as well as other traditional Christmas food to the hampers in December.
