Official Launch of Abbotsford’s “Rail District”

Abbotsford – The Rail District, part of Abbotsford’s new five neighbourhood plan, had its official launch Tuesday with a ceremonial ‘sod-turning’.

Situated on 11 acres of the former Clayburn Brick plant, at the north end of the Historic Downtown Abbotsford, this residential project will take place in 7 phases.

Initial planning was laid out in 2016, with the green light coming from the City Council in 2019.

Infinity Properties owner, Tim Bontkes of Langley, expressed the company’s excitement in developing a community for future Abbotsford residents in what he described as “a progressive city”.

According to Councilor Dave Loewen, In fact, he is so excited that Infinity has purchased additional properties in Abbotsford, including those immediately south of this site.
