Vancouver (with files from David Bray/Radio West) – The Summer 2021 radio ratings from Numeris are out. Traditionally, music radio stations do well in the summer. CBC takes a dip. All Sports, All Traffic, All Business and All Comedy formats are in the basement.
NOTE: that not all stations subscribe to ratings. You will notice that the multi cultural stations and Campus stations are not listed, nor the two Radio Canada Stations (CBC French). Usually Praise 106.5 shows up in Abbotsford ratings. KISM and KAFE like Praise are American stations.
Some Fraser Valley stations no longer subscribe to Numeris. The Fall Ratings for Chilliwack will be done by radioCount, while Abbotsford is still under Numeris.
From David Bray, Radio Strategist : CKNW grabs the #1 spot for A12+ with a 12.1% share of hours tuned (down from 13.3%). Jumping up to take the top spot for F25-54 was 94.5 Virgin Radio posting a 12.1% share (up from 10.3%), followed closely by Rock 101 with 12.0%. CFOX holds the lead for M25-54 listeners, delivering a 16.0 % share (up from 12.1 %). CFOX is also well out in front for M18-34 with a 23.4 % share of hrs. tuned (up from 20.0 %). When it comes to women 18-34, CFOX is #1 with a 15.4% share.
