Fraser Valley (John Henry Oliver) – The podcast is a revision and conversion of an old audio-taped recording to a digital Mp3 format. The sound quality is so-so, but still listenable. First heard on CFMI radio Vancouver in 1981 with interviewer John Henry Oliver. Frank Ludwig, after about four years with Trooper as singer-songwriter and keyboardist, in the mid-to late 70s, hooked up with Randy Bachman (The Guess Who, BTO) in two bands, Ironhorse and Union. This interview focuses mainly on his first solo album in ’81 and new band mates. The past few decades leading to his retirement, Ludwig was a music teacher for the Vancouver School Board. Ludwig became known for his vocals on songs that he had written while in Trooper including “Round, Round We Go,” “The Moment It Takes”, “Back To you,” “Quiet Desperation,” Mr. Big,” and “It’s a Fine Mess.” He also sang the lead on “Moment That it Takes” and shared vocals with lead vocalist Ra McGuire on “Gypsy Wheeler.” Here’s Frank with Round Round We Go… https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MpKTz… A long time teacher of Bands and Choirs for the Vancouver School Board, He teaches Strings as well, thanks to the help offered by the String Fever Method.
