Chilliwack (Josh Olund BCIT Radio A&E) – A well-known Chilliwack prolific offender was sentenced to five years in jail for drug trafficking in BC Supreme Court on Wednesday.
Kane Vernon Wilson has a lengthy criminal record in both Chilliwack and Surrey throughout the last 15 years.The 45-year-old was convicted on three counts of possession for drug trafficking, his sentence was handed down on May 12.
According to Court Services Online records, Wilson was handed five years for each count to be served concurrently. He also received a lifetime firearms prohibition.
Wilson’s offences in B.C. go back to 2006 when he was sentenced to 14 days served for willfully resisting or obstructing a peace officer.Wilson has faced several drug and weapons charges over the last decade and is well-known to RCMP.
In 2019, he was involved in a dangerous two-vehicle crash when the truck he was the passenger of, t-boned an innocent woman at the intersections of Bole and Fletcher Avenues. This was literally one block from FVN.
