Chilliwack – Algra Brothers and District 1881 construction crews broke ground last week on their next buildings, off Five Corners Chilliwack.
As in the past, crews found many cool things beneath some of the other buildings, so they’re very curious to see what might be down here.
From Instagram: This 100+ year old beer bottle popped up the other day as we started work on the foundation for Building Four (don’t worry, a better name is coming). Embossed on the bottle is “Westminster Brewery New Westminster B.C. Package not sold.” Westminster Brewery was in operation from the 1890s until 1941 when it was bought by the Coast Company and it became Lucky Lager. Other than that, we couldn’t find out much more about the bottle. If you know anything more about the bottle or Westminster Brewery, we’d love to hear from you! We’ll keep you updated if we find anything else.
