Hope Water System – Chlorine Added to East Kawkawa Lake In Response to Changes in Water Quality – Temporary Measure

Hope – On Saturday, the District of Hope posted to their Facebook page that residents living in East Kawkawa Lake that are users of the municipal water system are advised that chlorine has been added to the water system (on Saturday) in response to changes in water quality.

This is being done as a temporary measure to provide disinfection of the distribution system and residents will therefore detect the odor and taste of chlorine in their water in the days to come.

Further information is being provide by hand to affected residents.

Our community is fortunate to be supplied with water that does not require permanent disinfection and it is therefore imperative that from time to time when changes to water quality are detected, precautionary measures are taken.
