Cougar Sighting in Cultus Lake – Park Drive and Sunnyside Campground

Cultus Lake – In a posting to Cultus Lake Park on Friday, a cougar was spotted in the residential area of Park Drive/Sunnyside Campground on the evening of May 6, 2021. The park advises all guests and residents to please be cautious when out walking around the Park.

If you spot a cougar: Remain calm, keep away from the cougar and bring children and pets indoor, if possible. NEVER approach a cougar and do not run from it.

Please report wildlife sightings to Conservation at 1-877-952-7277 and notify the Cultus Lake Park office at 604-858-3334.

This on the heels of a cougar attack near Weaver Creek/Harrsion Mills where Conservation Officers had to put down two cougars after a woman was attacked on her property. She will be ok.
