Canadian Radio Sanctuary: Podcast with Tom Lavin of Powder Blues and His Career Story (VIDEO)

Kent (John Henry Oliver) – This Sanctuary Conversations podcast is an encore presentation from 1981.

As interviewer and producer John Henry Oliver puts it: “I had the pleasure of sitting down with Tom Lavin, August 21st of 1981…40 years ago this summer, in Tom’s own recording studio in Vancouver, Blue Wave. Powder Blues had great success with their first album Uncut and at the time of this interview, their second album Thirsty Ears had been out for about six weeks. Tom’s road to success was no picnic.

Like most musicians, there’s lots of blood, sweat and tears along the way.” This podcast is a non-profit project. This interview originally aired on CFMI radio in Vancouver.
