Vancouver ( Josh Olund BCIT Radio A&E) – The website“studentaidbc.ca” students manage their student loans appears to have been hacked. At roughly 9 p.m. Sunday there were reports on Twitter saying the landing page for studentaidbc.ca was replaced with a black page with green writing and music playing in the background.
The page featured a green symbol along with a title that reads “Guardian Security Team,”followed by three additional statements that read:“Mess with the best, die like the rest,” “Game Over for you but My Game has Just Begun,” and “When there is no justice, There is just us.”In under an hour, around 10 p.m. the site completely shut down and was only showing an error message.
The site was still down as of 11:00 a.m Monday. The LearnLive BC website was down as well.This hacking comes just before the summer semester starts for students in early May.
It is not clear if any personal information from any of the students has been compromised
