City of Surrey Hosting Virtual Party for the Planet – Thursday April 22

Surrey – The City of Surrey to host virtual Party for the Planet this Thursday April 22.

This free virtual event – presented by TD – will feature environmental education for all ages through virtual workshops, informational videos about Surrey’s sustainable initiatives, music, dance, children’s performances, and Indigenous programming.

5:00 p.m. – Welcome with Mayor Doug McCallum and Kevin and Michael Kelly of Kwantlen First Nation

5:19 p.m. – Climate Change Action Strategy

5:31 p.m. – Environmental Engineering: Spill Response

5:53 p.m. – Solid Waste: Single-Use Item Bylaw

6:25 p.m. – Surrey Parks: Planting for Native Pollinators

6:41 p.m. – Make a Canoe using Cloth Materials with LaDonna Wiks Joseph

7:18 p.m. – Museum of Surrey: Nature’s Clothesline Exhibit

7:34 p.m. – Surrey’s Transportation Plan

7:42 p.m. – Heritage Trees of Surrey

7:50 p.m. – The Zolas
