Chilliwack Fire Worked Blaze on Industrial Way Near Best Western Hotel

Chilliwack – Around supper time on Wednesday April 14, Chilliwack Fire Department was dispatched to a reported fire in an industrial building in the 43000 block of Industrial Way, not far from the Best Western Hotel.

Over 35 Firefighters responded from Halls 1, 3, 4 and 6 and upon arriving on scene,observed heavy, black smoke and flame coming from a large, multi-unit industrial building.

An aerial ladder truck was deployed to the roof of the building to extinguish a small fire on the roof and to serve as a vantage point to monitor the fire for spreading to other units.

Approximately 25 people work in the adjacent units and they are expected to be back at work sometime Thursday.

No one was hurt and this fire is currently under investigation by Chilliwack Fire Officials.
