Cultus Lake – On Monday evening, according to a posting on the Cultus Lake Park Facebook page, a suspicious fire began in the washroom facility located in the Cultus Lake Plaza area.
Cultus Lake Fire Chief, Warren Mazuren and his team were able to control and put out the fire quickly, with no reported injuries. RCMP has been contacted and are currently investigating the source of the fire.
Due to the extent of the damage, these washroom facilities will be closed temporarily to allow time for assessment and repair.Visitors and residents to this area, are encouraged to make use of the two porta potties on site or are welcome to access the additional washrooms found at Main Beach.
Cultus Lake Park are working on restoring the facilities and will let you know through social media when they are able to reopen.
