FVRD Wants Internet Input from Columbia Valley

Columbia Valley- Ryder Lake residents are not the only ones with valid complaints over spotty internet service.

Taryn Dixon of the FVRD posted to Facebook, that a public survey is now out, wanting opinions, comments and insight.

PLEASE COMPLETE THE FOLLOWING INTERNET SURVEY

FVRD is continuing to work towards improved internet connectivity and is looking for feedback from the residents of Area H. As you know, Columbia Valley has very limited service and it is really important that as many CV residents as possible, complete the survey. I realize that many will not be able to because they don’t have internet. If you know of people without internet please let them know that paper copies will be available at the community mailboxes or they can call me and I will deliver one.

This email is to notify you that the FVRD Rural Broadband Internet Connectivity residential and business surveys are now on the FVRD website and open until September 16, 2020. The surveys can be found here: www.fvrd.ca/ruralbroadband.

The purpose of the surveys is to obtain information and feedback from rural residents, businesses, organizations and institutions about existing internet and cellular services in the FVRD to assist with future planning and strategy development intended to improve high speed internet service in the rural electoral areas.

The entire survey should take no more than 5 or 10 minutes to complete.

Paper copies will also be placed at central locations in the communities such as community mailboxes and community centres.
