Fraser Valley – BC schools are set for a partial re-opening on June 1. With classes back in session, school zones and reduced speed limits will also be back in effect for Valley drivers. The school zone speed limit is 30 km/hr between 8AM and 5PM on days school is in session. The exception is Chilliwack where it is 7:30AM to 5PM
A reminder to drivers to be aware of children going to and from school, and to take extra precautions to ensure the safety of the students.
Playground zones remain in effect.
Not sure when school and playground zones apply? It is best to limit your speed to 30 km/hr when driving these zones if you are in doubt as to whether the restriction is in effect.
