Langley City Hall Re-Opens June 1

Langley City – The Province has eased back into reopening more retail businesses, restaurants, parks, outdoor spaces, recreation and sports as part of Phase 2 of BC’s Restart Plan. In compliance with health authorities and WorkSafe BC safety requirements, the City of Langley is pleased to announce that we will be able to reopen the following amenities and facilities on June 1:

  • Langley City Hall for tax payments only;
  • Offer outdoor youth programming;
  • Resume parking enforcement;
  • Start reopening park amenities including sports courts, outdoor fitness equipment, picnic shelters,  playgrounds, the parkour course at Penzer Park, the greenhouse at Sendall Gardens.

Langley City Hall will be accessible through the north entry only, and the necessary safety plans and protocols will be in place to ensure appropriate physical distancing and proper hygiene practices. Signs reinforcing these safety measures will be posted at the sites to ensure the COVID-19 health measures are followed, including:

  • Maintain at least two metres (six feet) away from people from other households;
  • Avoid large groups;
  • Wash hands thoroughly and frequently; and,
  • Stay home if sick.

Langley City Council will be considering reopening more services, amenities, and facilities for residents to enjoy, and the City asks for your patience and understanding as we work to implement changes gradually and cautiously in order to prevent further spread of COVID-19 virus.

For the most up-to-date information, residents are encouraged to visit the municipal website regularly at langleycity.ca/COVID-19, follow Langley City on social media (Facebook and Twitter) for updates, or subscribe to our mailing list.
