Chilliwack – The Chilliwack RCMP invited the public and media to an open house at Chilliwack Community Policing Office (CPO), 45924 Airport Road, on November 5.
An estimated 400 visitors enjoyed a number of hands-on activities and informative displays that presented a closer insight to a number of policing services offered by the Chilliwack RCMP and our public safety partners who serve the community.
This was the fourth annual Chilliwack RCMP open house.
Guests met officers from our local Community Police Office (CPO), took ‘Red Serge’ guided tours of the police facility, and spoke with police from Lower Mainland District support sections including the Integrated Police Dog Section (IPDS), Lower Mainland District Emergency Response Team (ERT), Tactical Troop, and the UFVRD Indigenous Policing Service.
Pavilions operated by the City of Chilliwack Safer City, ICBC, Chilliwack Crime Prevention Services, and Crime Stoppers answered questions while providing valuable crime prevention information and safety tips to inquisitive guests.
Superintendent Bryon Massie, Officer- in- Charge of the Upper Fraser Valley Regional Detachment and Inspector Davy Lee, Operations Officer of the Chilliwack CPO thank everyone for their participation in making this year’s open house another huge success.
