Hope – It’s beginning to look a lot like Christmas and I’m dreaming of eggs and ham.
November 21st marks the first annual fundraising event “It’s a Wonderful Breakfast” in Hope. The Fraser Valley Health Care Foundation (FVHCF) has previous held fundraising breakfast events in both Chilliwack and Abbotsford. FVHCF are now brings this event to Hope!
Funds raised by this year’s Hope breakfast will support the purchase of the greatly needed stretcher beds for the Emergency Department at Fraser Canyon Hospital.The Foundation is also hosting a Toy & Toiletry Drive at the all the breakfasts. Toys collected will go to making a child’s stay in the hospital a more pleasant experience across the region. Toiletries and other comfort items collected will help fill the needs of the Fraser East mental health programs and other patients in need.
To youth participating in mental health programs the small things count; Nail polish, shaving kits, puzzles and other items can lift spirits and make a positive impact. This festive event includes a breakfast buffet provided by Kitchen Komfort Food Service., guest speakers, holiday entertainment & a raffle.
It’s A Wonderful Breakfast – Hope is from 7AM to 9AM on November 21, at the Hope & District Recreation Centre.
