Chilliwack Mounties Nab Armed Robbery Suspect

Chilliwack – Last Thursday morning (October 17th @11:45AM), a lone male entered the Royal Bank on Main Street in Chilliwack, produced a weapon and demanded money from a teller.  An undisclosed amount of cash was taken. 

A responding RCMP officer observed a man matching the robber’s description.  After a short foot pursuit, the suspect was taken into police custody. 

Brett Penner has been remanded in custody until October 28th, charged with one count of Robbery and one count of Obstruction.
