Rosedale/Chilliwack – Cheam First Nation is hosting the inaugural event for Stand Up Against Violence Towards Women on Wednesday October 9.

Violence against women and girls is a violation of human rights. Violence against women has negative impacts for women, families and the community. The purpose of the forum is to raise awareness of the supports that are available for Indigenous women and girls.

Motivational speaker and former BC Lion, J R Larose, Indigenous Ambassador, will be the keynote speaker.
