Chilliwack – Early Monday Morning (June 3,@4:45AM) Chilliwack Fire was dispatched to a residential structure fire located in the 46000 block of Maple Avenue. Firefighters responded from Halls 1, 2, 4, 5 and 6, and on arrival, reported a fully involved structure fire in a detached garage of a single story residential home, which has spread to the home. The structure was vacant and boarded up at the time of the fire.
The garage was completely consumed in the fire and the home suffered major fire and smoke damage to the interior and exterior.
No one was hurt. A similar fire happened early Sunday Morning on Margaret Avenue.
Both fires are considered suspicious.
