Chilliwack – The Chilliwack Chamber of Commerce are all smiles after Friday night’s announcement at the 2019 BC Chamber AGM.
Last week, the CCOC received the award for Chamber of the Year, for its leadership in the cultural context of moving forward together, demonstrating “grit, and for exemplifying what the BC Chamber calls, “Harnessing the power of the crowd”
Leanna Kemp, Executive Director at Chilliwack Chamber of Commerce told FVN that the staff beyond appreciative and congratulated everyone on staff for their hard work. Over the past year, the Chilliwack Chamber, guided by Leanna Kemp (Executive Director), worked with the community of Sto:lo Nation to host Cultural Education sessions, including First Nations Historical Impact Training and a Coqualeetza grounds tour. Roundtable discussions regarding partnerships were held as well as the beginning of unified/partnered events.
