In order to increase capacity and improve visitor experience, BC Parks is undergoing a parking lot expansion at Coquihalla Canyon Provincial Park (Othello Tunnels). Construction work started on the parking lot, May 21 and is expected to continue until June 21. Sections of the parking lot will remain open during this time, but available parking will be reduced.
All public pedestrian or vehicular traffic will be prohibited from entering work areas. Visitors are asked to refrain from skirting around all marked work areas.
Paving begins June 3rd and may go as late as June 10th (weather permitting). For the most part, trailheads will not be disrupted. However, foot-traffic may need to yield to small machinery working within the area.
