Volunteers Needed For Rock Steady Boxing Fraser Valley For Parkinson’s

Abbotsford – Volunteers are needed for Rock Steady Boxing – Fraser Valley for Parkinson’s. Volunteering with Rock Steady Boxing Fraser Valley for Parkinson’s is one of the most wonderful, humbling and fun experiences you’ll ever have! Rock Steady Boxing is a Parkinson’s specific non-contact boxing program based on scientific research that helps to slow down the progression of the disease and improve the quality of life for those fighting back! This program in Abbotsford is an extension of IMPACT Parkinson’s, an Incorporated Non-Profit Society, in New Westminster.

Volunteer Duties include help with set-up and clean-up, assist fighters with gloves/wraps, pad holding, getting up/down off floor, monitor safety and most importantly offer enthusiasm, commitment and respect! This amazing opportunity supporting people fight back against Parkinson’s is suitable for students (high school and post secondary) to adults and seniors.

This will be at the Matsqui Rec Centre, Mondays 1:00pm – 2:00pm and Wednesday’s 1:15pm – 2:15pm.
