Kent/Agassiz – The District of Kent Yard Waste Clean Up is Saturday May 11. This runs all day from 9 AM to 4 PM.
Hosted by the Agassiz Community Gardens Society at the Municipal Gravel Pit, Cemetery Road.
The following yard waste materials will be accepted at no charge:
- tree branches or limbs up to 5″ in diameter
- prunings
- leaves
- soil
- discarded shrubs
- sand or fine gravel
- grass sods and clippings
Residents will be required to separate wood waste, branches and prunings from soil or similar materials to process through a chipper.
All other materials are prohibited, including tree stumps and branches greater than 5″ in diameter, domestic refuse, animal waste and household hazardous wastes.
