Langley – Sleeping bags made of recycled plastic bags, and plastic with micro bacteria to make it decay, are just some of the proposals to be pitched by students at the Langley School District’s IDEA X Challenge. Langley high school students have spent four months researching, inventing, and innovating solutions to the global problem of single use plastics for a chance to win a $20,000 scholarship. Students will be presenting their proposals to the community, before a judging panel of environmental experts. IDEA X is part of the Langley School District’s IDEA Summit, an event celebrating entrepreneurship and design involving close 100 students.
The IDEA X Challenge is at the Langley Events Centre (LEC), 7888 200 Street, Langley
