2019 Performing Arts Festival – Chilliwack – May 26- 30

Chilliwack – From May 26 -30th, 2019,the Chilliwack Lions Club Music and Dance Festival will be hosting the Provincial Performing Arts Festival.

This yearly pinnacle event will see over 600 participants from the 34 member regional Music and Dance Festivals throughout the Province send their most promising young musicians, dancers and dramatic artists between the ages of 10 and 28 to this five-day event.

The chosen delegates compete for recognition and prizes, as well as attend special master classes, lectures, coaching session, workshops, technique classes and adjudications.

Three distinct disciplines are showcased throughout the festival: Dance, with Ballet, Modern, and Stage; Music, with brass, chamber ensemble, classical guitar, piano, strings, voice, woodwinds;and Dramatic Speech Arts. A Future Stars program incorporated into the Festival highlights and encourages‘up and coming’ future artists as well with a similar program.
