Surrey – The City of Surrey will host the third annual Active Aging Resource Fair on Saturday, March 23, from 10:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. at the Guildford Recreation Centre.
This interactive fair geared towards residents aged 55+, will feature a series of informative workshops on topics including senior’s financial planning, health and wellness, fraud awareness, legal support as well as a workshop led by Seniors Come Share Society. The main stage will feature live entertainment from Susan Skemp’s 50’s Hop Show and the Pat Chessell Band.
Workshops at this year’s fair include Heads Up: An Introduction to Brain Health, led by Avalon Tournier with Alzheimer Society of B.C. The workshop provides information for seniors, caregivers and their families on the benefits of staying mentally and socially active.
Admission is free, and the first 150 participants will receive a gift bag and a chance to win door prizes.
