Fraser Valley – Just as we dug out of this blast of snow, comes word that Thursday afternoon commute through Friday will be a mess.
From Environment Canada:
Snowfall warning in effect for:
- Fraser Valley – west including Abbotsford
Snowfall with total amounts of 5 to 10 cm is expected.
Snow and a risk of freezing rain tonight.
Another
area of low pressure will approach the south coast later today. Arctic
air is still in place over the area this morning but a trend towards
slightly milder conditions will occur through the afternoon and
temperatures are expected to remain near the freezing mark tonight.
Snow
will develop later this afternoon and has potential to be fairly heavy
around the early evening rush hour. Snow should begin to transition to
rain later in the day on Friday.
With the onset of milder air
with this system and prolonged outflow conditions a risk of freezing
rain will exist tonight and Friday morning.
