Langley/Vancouver – The BC Lions announced the signing of 22 year old Langley Rams receiver Jevon Cottoy to a multi year contract.
The 6’5″ 230lb Calgary native joined the Rams in 2018 and was quickly regarded as the most dominating receiver in the Canadian Junior Football League.
Cottoy finished the BCFC regular season with 39 receptions for 657 yards and 8 touchdowns in 8 games played.
He then took it to another level with one of the most dominating performances in Junior Football playoff history, notching 25 receptions for 645 yards and 8 touchdowns in four post season games played.
The former Calgary Colt had 7 receptions for 246 yards and 4 touchdowns in the Rams BCFC Semi-Final win over the VI Raiders, 4 for 110 yards in the BCFC Cullen Cup win over the Okanagan Sun, 9 for 180 yards and 3 touchdowns in the CJFL National Semi-Final win over the Hamilton Hurricanes and 5 for 109 yards and a touchdown in their Canadian Bowl National Championship loss to Saskatoon.
