Abbotsford – Abbotsford Police joined the ranks of other Police Forces, being creative and a little sneaky in trying to catch distracted drivers.
APD conducted Project Bus Ride on Thursday focusing on distracted driving enforcement.
In partnership with BC Transit & First Transit, officers rode transit buses, watching for distracted drivers & other violators.
This is everything from being on your smart phone, texting, to not paying attention while eating, listening to music, talking with your passenger and yes, there have been instances of reading a book while driving.
Driving offence fines will range from $109 to $368.
