New Westminster/Mission/Chilliwack – Slow and Steady. That’s the progress of the barge carrying the huge brew tanks from New Westminster dock to their final working place at the new Molson Coors Brewery in Chilliwack. Early this morning the barge cleared the Mission bridge as the barge slowly makes its way along the Fraser River to a docking point, Saturday afternoon in Chilliwack (Arnold Road/Cattermole Industrial Park).
The barge left Mission early Saturday morning after arriving late Friday night from New Westminster.
The barge reached its Chilliwack destination before 11 AM Saturday.
Loading onto massing moving trucks is expected on Sunday with a long slow procession through Chilliwack scheduled to start on Monday.
The new brewery is expected to be online in 2019.
