Chilliwack – A barn on the 51000 block of Yale Road was destroyed by fire. This happened around 3PM on Friday (May 25).
Chilliwack Fire stated that a farmer was in the barn, grinding metal, when sparks set off foam insulation. The barn was also used as a medical marijuana grow op. The barn was also used to store tools and machinery.
Fire crews were assisted by a private contractor with a nearby excavator.
There were no animals inside the barn. No one was hurt.
