Fraser Valley/West Vancouver – March is Fraud Prevention Month. Knowledge can be your best weapon against victimization.
That’s the message from Consumer Protection BC and an interesting phone call that the West Vancouver Police received and posted to social media.
In fact, FVN Fraser Valley News received the same robo call within the past two weeks.
First of all, CRA Canada Revenue Agency, doesn’t work this way, and secondly, they would have spoken in both official languages, English and French along with a “Hello,Bonjour” somewhere in the intro.
Consumer Protection BC re-tweeted West Van PD’s phone call. Listen to see if you may have received the same scam call.
With March being Fraud Prevention Month, more info can be found here.
