Chilliwack Hit And Run Driver Arrested

Chilliwack – An alleged driver of a pickup is facing charges after he was arrested by RCMP for a hit and run last week.

The charges stem from a January 26, 2018 incident.  The driver allegedly failed to stop after colliding with two vehicles at Yale Road and Princess Avenue or the RCMP in the 46000-block of Yale Road before the vehicle was abandoned in front of the Provincial Court House.

Officers quickly converged on the site taking 2 individuals into custody.  After a short foot chase the suspect was also arrested.

40 year old Brett James Richardson of Chilliwack remains in custody facing charges of 2 counts failure to comply with probation order, dangerous operation of motor vehicle, and failure to stop at the scene of an accident.

Mr. Richardson was released from custody pending a court date in mid-February.
