Abbotsford – The Goatel at Maan Farms in Abbotsford went up in flames on Monday. Abbotsford fire crews were called in just before 8PM to the corner of Mckenzie and Vye Road. None of the animals were hurt. Fire investigators say it’s still too early to say what caused the two storey barn to go up in flames.
This is the second fire to hit the farm in three years.
Back in July 2014, what Police called a suspicious fire, destroyed the barn.
The owners took to Facebook to say thanks to crews:
The Goatel 6 animal barn was lost in a fire today.
This feeling is all too familiar but all of the animals are safe and no one was hurt. All other barns and the main building is completely fine.
