ORIGINAL STORY – RCMP are investigating reports of gunshots that occurred overnight near Unity Christian School. The school is closed today due to a stat from Remembrance Day falling on a Saturday.

Global reports that Mounties were called to a residence near Annis and Hack Brown Roads shortly before 2AM Monday Morning. So far there is no evidence that this was targeted or gang-related. There was a report that a window was shot out of a home and a bullet casing was found. RCMP have not confirmed that although ERT have since left the scene. A photo has shown up on Facebook of a bullet or pellet hole through a window.

There is the possibility that the sounds of gunfire were echoes from hunters or reckless use of a firearm. Again RCMP have yet to comment.

FVN was informed/reminded that duck hunting season is on.
